Seventh Ave Inc
A Digital Neighborhood For The Black Community
My Role with Seventh Ave is to be the guiding force in all Technical Decisions and to architect and operate highly-available, distributed infrastructure services with cloud best practices. I oversee a remote first team using technologies like, Zoom, Slack, Github and I also take on the role of Scrum Master for the Scrum Ceremonies and mange team tasks using Jira.
Blavity INC
Blavity, Inc. is home to the largest network of platforms and lifestyle brands serving the multifaceted lives of black millennials.
My Role with Blavity involved aiding in the refactoring of all Blavity's owned and operated sites to improve efficiency, processing, and readability of existing code base for future scalability and technical debt reduction. I also helped create and implement proprietary code that was used to build an Ad Platform to monetize Blavity's large user base and was essential in growing the Blavity brand.
MambaScript
The rebirth of Typed Unfancy Javascript.... The rebellious teenage love child of TypeScript and Python who is their own person and seeks validation from neither... ( But deep down loves them both and would love their approval)
MambaScript is a language that compiles to JavaScript and also an alternative to JSX when building React and similar libraries. It attempts to have a similar coding style to python but yet also have the flexibility of TypeScript. The project comes with many awesome features that can be used in projects of any size and the application you are using now, is a markdown blog made with the MambaScript Template Creator. MambaScript code compiles to ES5 JavaScript nice and clean but still allows you to write code very similar to ES6 with additional bells and whistles and some fluff taken out of it. I am very excited about the project.
